Kinky Rail Jam

Skiers and snowboarders will slide with style in the RCR Rail park as they compete against their peers for top spot in their respective categories. Prizes will be awarded to the top competitors from each category. The event is open to both skiers and snowboarders and will be an event not to miss!

Entry fee is $25+gst. Registration is open at Guest Services. Registration will also be available day of in the Griz Daylodge.

Tentative Schedule:
9am-10am:
Registration & Check In @ Griz Daylodge Stage
9am-10:45am: Rail Park Open for practice
10:45am: Rail Park closes for competition. (Rails will be closed to public during the competition. Park will reopen to public when competition finishes at approx 1pm).
10:45am: Mandatory Competitors Meeting @ Top of Rail Park.
11:00am: Competition Start @ Rail Park. Heat times will be determined that morning based on total number of particpants in each category - format is Jam Format with set heat times for categories. Spectators are welcome to come watch the competition in the Rail Park.
3:30pm: Awards Ceremony @ Griz Daylodge Stage

Additional Info:
-Helmets are MANDATORY for all competitors
-$20 cash bib deposit is required at registration (deposit returned at the end of the competition when the bib is)
-RCR Rail Park Pass is required for all competitors. RCR Rail Park pass is available at Guest Services or a competitor Rail Park Pass will be available at Registration.
-Season Pass or Lift ticket is required to take part in the event. Discounted lift tickets will be available to competitors at registration.
RCR WAIVER POLICY: Please note that it is MANDATORY that all minors (under 16 years old) that are competing in an RCR Event MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign the Event Waiver and Rail Park Waiver in person IN FRONT of an RCR Staff Member. A legal guardian is defined as the minor's parent, a court appointed guardian or coach of a program the child is registered in. Coaches must be current members of the Canadian Ski Instructor's Alliance, or a member of the Canadian Snowboard Federation and be certified as a coach. This means another competitor or a friend's parent CANNOT sign the waiver for you! If a parent or legal guardian cannot be present at registration they must sign the waiver ahead of time an RCR Resort or the RCR Head Office in Calgary and let the Event Coordinator in Fernie know.
