Following an unprecedented province wide warm weather event, Enemy Lines cousre and format changed.
Sometimes Mother Nature let's you know who's the boss - and there's no arguing. The unseasonably warm temperatures across the West Coast of North America over the past week have impacted the inaurgual Monster Energy Lines Event.
After a daylong course inspection with competitors and members of Fernie Ski Patrol, it was determined the 45+degree Lizard Headwall was not a viable option for competitors due to extremely unstable snowpack. As a result, the course will start from the Lizard Traverse in a safe zone below the headwall. The prize purse has been revised accordingly and to ensure athletes are rewarded for their efforts to make it out to Fernie.
There will be no qualifiers on Friday but Saturday's activities and the new format race will go as previously scheduled!
Join us Saturday in the plaza from 12pm-7pm for live music with Dj Pump, DJ Illo and Vinyl Ritchie. Then the main event will take place at 4:30pm.
