| Snickers Junior Freeski Competition presented by Rossignol |
| Watch as the 18 and unders show how big of a mountain Fernie really is. Competitors will be judged based upon 5 categories: Control, Technique, Fluidity, Aggressiveness and their Line choice! Age categories for the event include 7-11 years, 12-15 years, and 16-18 years of age for both guys and gals. Athletes are competing their share of product from Rossignol and our sponsors!
Competitors will warm up Saturday in the qualifying runs and Sunday will be the finals and award ceremony.
Spectators will be able to watch the competition each day from the finish area of the venues. Make sure you stop by to check out these amazing up and coming athletes in the sport! Event venues will be determined closer to the competition.
Tentative Schedule: (Note: Subject to change)
Friday February 5th:
3:00pm - 7:00pm: Early Check-In and Registration (Location: Daylodge). It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that competitors try and register Friday evening to avoid the line ups and rush to register Saturday morning.
Saturday February 6th:
7:00am - 7:45am: Check-In and Registration (Location: Daylodge)
8:00am: MANDATORY Competitors Meeting (Location: Daylodge)
8:30am: Load Lift
8:45am - 9:45am: Inspection Runs (Venue Location: To Be Determined)
10:00am: Competition Start
10:00am - 4:00pm: Qualifying Runs
5:00pm: Day 1 Results (Location: Daylodge)
Sunday February 7th:

Helmets are mandatory and a $20 cash bib deposit will be taken at registration.
PLEASE NOTE: Competitor Registration is now closed. Both the competition and waiting list is FULL For those who did not get a spot please note the registration open date is posted ahead of time so please check the website site late November for registration details for next years event.
Please note: To be fair to everyone on the waiting list, substitutions WILL NOT be allowed.

REFUND POLICY: Entry fees will be refunded only if requested at least 48 hours before the event day. Participants must have a valid medical reason or family emergency and each case will be reviewed individually. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the event coordinator and participants may be required to provide proof of medical reason. Cancellations for non medical reasons will be reviewed on a case by case basis and refunds will be based upon if the spot can be filled or not. Please note a $10.00 processing and administration fee will apply to all refunds.

| Helly Hansen Big Mountain Battle |
| Helly Hansen's Big Mountain Battle is coming to Fernie and we want to invite you to join in the fun and excitement of a little adventure on the mountain you thought you already knew. We want to take you to corners of the mountain you may not have been to for years, send you hiking up a climb you would have never thought to do, go searching in the woods for a checkpoint and you get to do it all with your buddy and get tracked in real time GPS by our friends at Flaik.
This is a team-based event, which is open to all ages/levels and allows exploration of the entire mountain! Each team of 2 must cover off all the checkpoints around the mountain that will utilize certain lifts and incorporate hiking sections and will all be tracked by Flaik GPS. The top three teams with the best times to complete all checkpoints, runs and hill climbs will be awarded prizing.

| Athletes will be challenged by Fernie Alpine Resort’s terrain and legendary powder in the 7th annual Smith Optics Fernie Freeski Competition presented by Fresh Sports. Competitors will be judged based upon 5 categories: Control, Technique, Fluidity, Aggressiveness and their Line choice! The event begins with Registration and Venue Inspection on Wednesday, Qualifying Rounds on Thursday, Semi-Final Round on Friday and Final Round, Awards Ceremony and Party on Saturday! The Sunday will be held as a weather day. Athletes are competing for their share of a cash purse and product from our sponsors! Spectators will be able to watch the competition each day from the finish area of the venues. Make sure you stop by to check out some amazing skiing! Event venues will be determined closer to the competition.

Strictly for fun, this competition features imaginative & hilarious “dummies” on skis launching themselves off a gigantic jump beside the Timber Chair. Dummies can be made from a variety of materials and creativity is stressed! Dummies are judged based on their construction, creativity, distance they fly off the jump and the carnage factor when they land!! Spectators and families LOVE this event and it is one not to miss!!
