| Full Throttle Mountain Bike Festival |
| The Full Throttle Mountain Bike Festival will celebrate all things mountain bike related, attracting avid competitors and recreational riders of all levels. Weekend highlights include the Super D Downhill Race, Dirt Crit Race and Little Critters Race, a Dual Slalom Competition, Trials Demos, Live Music and more! Don't miss this action packed weekend at Fernie Alpine Resort!
EVENT DESCRIPTIONS:
Super D Downhill Race - Saturday, August 21:
A gruelling all mountain event that incorporates technical singletrack riding with endurance and speed. Competitors race from the top of the Timber Chair to the base area on a challenging course that winds through the Rumpelstumpskin and TNT trails.
Dual Slalom Competiton - Sunday, August 22:
The old school dual slalom is back! Riders race head to head down our dual slalom course in this exciting and face paced event. Competitors race in head to head elimination heats until there is only 1 rider left victorious!
Dirt Crit Race - Sunday, August 22:
Centrally located in the mountain plaza and base area of the resort, the Dirt Crit Race promises to be an exciting spectator event. Racers will complete multiple laps of a short loop course, charging through the base area plaza on each lap! The racer who has completed the most laps in the time allotted is the winner!
Little Critters Race - Saturday, August 21:
This is a chance for the younger generation to get involved in the sport. Kids have a chance to decorate their own bike plates and then race around a short course located in the base area.
Trials Demos - Mulitple shows throughout the weekend:
Watch in awe as trials athletes demonstrate their incredible balance and agility while maneuvering their bikes over a variety of obstacles and heights. A great show for all ages.
Registration for the Super D, Dual Slalom and Dirt Crit races is opening soon. Details will be posted shortly. A detailed schedule will also be available soon!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
Volunteers are needed on both Saturday and Sunday to help ensure the weekend goes smoothly! Volunteers are needed to help with course marshalling and set up.
