For beginner to intermediate skiers who are discovering skiing or are already ripping around the lower mountain. This half-day program is about fun and animation, during which children learn to ski through guided discovery, drills and controlled skiing time. The goal is to gain skills and confidence and become comfortable skiing the lower mountain.

This all day ski program is great for beginner to intermediate skiers to hone their basic skiing skills. A fun environment helps to develop team building and positive ski improvement. The goal si to create confidence with mileage, participation in our regularly scheduled fun activities, games and races.

Extreme kids have fun exploring all areas of the resort including jumps, bumps, natural features and our terrain parks. This program is designed to take intermediate and advanced skiers to the next level. The goal is to create confident, all mountain skiers who enjoy getting "air", skiing hard and socializing with other awesome, extreme kids.

The Fernie Freeride Team is an extension of the popular Extreme Club but focuses on older kids who are pushing the limits. Our Certified Freeride coaches will teach all the newest freeski moves and techniques in a controlled manner. The aim of this club is to challenge and develop skills while creating expertise on all areas of the mountain, in all ski conditions.

The philosphy of the F.F.S is to promote fun, safety & skill development. Emphasizing in social interaction, the program teaches youth fundamental boarding skills and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. If you're just starting out, want to ride sweet lines down some of Fernie's famous steeps or become the ultimate park monkey, this is the club for you.

This program focuses on personal skills development and WSS staff training. Junior instructors will: shadow and observe, practice teaching, assist with ski or snowboard classes, take part in a lesson with the program trainer. They will also work on: instructor skill development, risk management, child stages and peer teaching.

5-16 years
Level 1-6

Valid at Fernie, Lake Louise, Nakiska and Kimberley. Learn to Ski / Snowboard without geographical limitations. Allows students to continue their education at different resorts during the season!
