The Girls‘ Freeride Team is for young ladies who just want to rip together. This is similar to the Freeride Team only it is exclusive to girls. This program has increased in popularity over the last few years. It’s really exciting to see young females out there skiing big mountain terrain with so much confidence, talent, and flare!
The Big Mountain Snowboarders are for all those snowboarders who want to learn and progress their basic skills to be able to rip Fernie’s great hill. Emphasizing social interaction, the program teaches fundamental boarding skills and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
The philosophy of the F.F.S. is to promote fun, safety, and skill development. Coaches will teach a blend of big mountain riding, tricks, and rail progression. Particpants will also learn how to make Fernie’s natural terrain their playground by riding the gullies and bumps. If you’ve just started to adventure off the groomers, want to ride sweet lines, then this is the club for you!
