FERNIE, BC - July 7, 2010 - Thanks to our amazing bike trail crew, Honey Bee green trail has had a major grooming, giving it better flow for beginners. Bike Park Supervisor, Marc Ledoux, says "Flowy Goodness - Anyone who likes the Eville trail, will have a blast on the SWEET NEW Honey Bee!" Check out the sweet treats on Honey Bee starting this Thursday as it debuts its makeover for the first time!

Also of interest to beginners and green trail riders, a new section on Boom trail is finished and was open for Canada Day with good reviews. It is a welcome addition to the existing trail that makes the ride to connect to Cedar trail much more enjoyable.

This weekend marks the first for the Friday Night Skills clinic (5-7pm, $18 + tax), and both the Women's and Children's bike camps starting this Saturday July 10th. Call guest services for more details: 250-423-4655

Anyone heading to Fernie Alpine Resort this weekend can participate in or watch the spectacular Lost Boys Lungbuster - Mountain Bike Hill Climb on Saturday July 10th. This is the ultimate challenge for hard core climbers! The grueling race starts at the base area and climbs to the top of the Timber Express Chairlift - 2100 vertical feet!

Early Bird Entry Fee (by Friday July 9 at 7pm): $25 + tax
Race Day Entry Fee (Saturday July 10 until 9am): $30 + tax
