Fernie, British Columbia - May 19, 2010 - Fernie Alpine Resort, proud partner of Bike Parks B.C., will throw down a 2010 Summer Season Pass for the grand prize winner of the “Ultimate Summer of Free Ride” contest. The Bike Parks B.C. “Ultimate Summer of Free Ride” contest will reward the best blog or photo submission sent by June 14, 2010 with an epic season of stoke.
The top submission on www.bikeparksbc.com or www.facebook.com/bikeparksbc will earn that rider the grand prize of a 2010 Summer Season Pass at Fernie Alpine Resort along with 4 other great BC resorts. In addition, the winner and their riding partner will also get two nights accommodation, bike rentals, expert guides, and lift tickets for the friend at at each resort, including Fernie Alpine Resort, to be used over the 2010 summer season. To top it off, $1,000 cash will be awarded to make the most epic summer road trip ever.
Fernie Alpine Resort opens on June 26th for the summer, offering lift access to a dynamic Bike Park with 37 mountain bike trails as well as a selection of 5 unique hiking trails. Both the Timber Express and Elk Quad Chairs will be operating this summer (various days & hours). New this season is the extended hours of the Elk Chair on Thursday and Friday nights, until 7pm. The Lost Boys Cafe, at the top of the Timber Chair, will be open for the summer season and serving up delicious treats and cool drinks as well as offering amazing site-seeing from the observation deck.
