I have traveled all around the world, skiing amazing peaks in Europe and all over North America and to me Fernie is still my favorite place to live and ski, thanks to the amazing people, snow and terrain.

I have designed my future to coincide with my winter season, and made it so I don’t need to work in the winter and can focus on progression in the snowboarding.

FAR’s style of riding has made me the snowboarder I am today. It gives you the opportunity to constantly progress, and has made me want to compete in the Freeride category. The vibe in Fernie is literally vibrating. The true happiness this town influences you with is so progressive.

I have never seen bigger snowflakes …
Fernie is a fantastic training ground for all mountain sports and it was here that I learned to telemark. There's more than just skiing here – sledding, snowboarding, curling, hotsprings, hockey, ice skating, snowshoeing, fishing…Skiing will always win for me though – and the mountains are right here.

Skiing & Living in Fernie:
Fernie has a great balance of varied terrain with high quality and amount of snow. All these things get me excited about another season in Fernie and keep me from coming back year after year. Not to mention there is now going to be a lift to the top of Polar Peak . Something all of us in Fernie have always dreamed about.
