Wild Mountain Fernie Ultra & Enduro
The organizers of the TransRockies will be making another visit to Fernie this summer to launch a new event that includes biking and also running! Welcome the Fernie Ultra: a Trail Run, Mountain Bike and Relay event!The format/schedule of the race is an Ultra Trail Run on Saturday with a Bike Enduro on Sunday. Saturday's trail run composed of six, point-to-point legs covering approximately 80km with solo and teams of 3 or 6. Sunday's mountain bike is on the same, or similar course (pending weather conditions) with the same format.
Fernie Alpine Resort is proud to be hosting the registration and start of both the Ultra and Enduro on Saturday and Sunday!

Fernie Alpine Resort is pleased to partner wth Mudd, Sweat & Tears to bring a brand new race to Fernie!Mudd, Sweat and Tears offers 5k & 10k obstacle course mud run events of extreme proportion. Courses combine the best organic and natural features found throughout the site, with a series of constructed obstacles, which will have you – crawling, climbing, swimming, carrying and dragging yourself, possibly fellow competitors, and a series of objects: up, over, under, through and around hill and dale. And just when you think there can’t be another hill to climb or pit to drag yourself through….
Warning! MST is not for the faint of heart or unprepared. You will get dirty, muddy, scraped up, cold, physically and mentally punished, and may end up smiling continuously.
If you’re not of average or above average fitness levels, prepared to race hard, race smart and help your fellow competitors, than this may not be the event for you. On the other hand, for those who are up for the challenge the rewards can be contagious!

Lost Boys Lungbuster - Uphill Bike Climb & Run
The ultimate challenge for hard core hill climbers – 6.9km and 2100 vertical feet UP!The race starts in the base area of the resort and finishes at Lost Boys Cafe (top of the Timber Express Chair). The event is open to both bikers and runners to take on the challenge!
Helmets are mandatory for all biking category competitors and all competitors (bike and run) are strongly recommended to carry water with them (water bottle or hydration backpack).

Fernie Alpine Resort is proud to host the Fernie Legendary Summer Race! Not only is the race the finals of the BC Cup Downhill Race Series but it is also a sanctioned Alberta Cup race as well.The race will take place on our Canada Cup Downhill trail and the resort team will be working closely with SE Racing to put on a great event! Friday will be course marking/taping and the course will be open to public and competitors to check out. Saturday is race inspection with Sunday being race day and awards. (note course trails will be closed to public both Saturday and Sunday).
